Responsible processing before overseas departure.
For candidates recruited from Bangladesh, overseas employment includes government, documentation and pre-departure requirements. SkillWave works with its Bangladesh recruitment partner to coordinate the applicable steps.
Candidate registration and records
Bangladeshi workers travelling for overseas employment may need to complete applicable registration and documentation requirements through the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training.
Clearance before departure
Where required, candidates complete the applicable emigration-clearance process, including current document, biometric, training or Smart Card requirements.
Local process support
Bangladesh operations are supported through Sams Company, Recruiting Licence No. 696. The licence belongs to the licensed recruitment partner—not SkillWave Australia.
Requirements may include
- Candidate information and document verification
- BMET registration and biometric requirements
- Required training or orientation
- Visa and employment documentation
- Emigration-clearance application
- Medical and character requirements
- Smart Card or applicable clearance documents
- Travel documentation and flight arrangements
- Destination information
- Employer joining instructions
Government procedures can change. Current requirements applicable to each candidate will be followed at the time of processing.
A separate, evolving migrant-worker service.
The Probashi Card initiative is being developed for overseas Bangladeshis and people preparing for migration. It should not be confused with established BMET registration and emigration-clearance processes.
Where applicable, the Bangladesh recruitment partner can assist according to current government instructions. Programme procedures and eligibility may continue to develop.
